I am a licensed psychologist who works with a wide array of conditions. I specialize in treating eating disorders, anxiety, perfectionism, life transitions, parent-child interaction challenges, and acculturation-related issues. Additionally, I offer evidence-based parenting support to parents who are embarking on their journey into parenthood as well as those with children who have special educational needs.
Among all of the above conditions, I am particularly passionate about treating eating disorders, different forms of disordered eating, and body image dissatisfaction. I am a Certified Family-Based Therapy (FBT) Therapist, was trained by the developer of Family-Based Therapy, and completed two years of postdoctoral training in the Eating Disorders Program of the Clinical Child Psychology Postdoctoral Residency at Stanford University School of Medicine. I have experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults with Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID, OSFED, etc., at a variety of levels of care (in-patient medical stabilization unit, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programming, and outpatient services). During eating disorder treatment, I collaborate with all members of your treatment team (medical oversight doctor, psychiatrist, dietitian) to provide comprehensive, well-rounded care.
My approach to treatment is strength-based, compassion-focused, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I am dedicated to supporting a client in cultivating compassion and understanding for their presenting challenges, facilitating healing from past emotional wounds, gaining insight into the function of unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, developing a genuine appreciation for their personal strengths and values, and collaboratively setting goals with the client that align with their deeply held values.
Since eating disorders are NEVER just about the food or eating, I am committed to helping you identify the underlying issues, including problems with anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, and/or self-esteem that have led to your unhelpful thought patterns and difficult feelings.
Contact me for a complimentary 20-minute video consultation, and we can begin as soon as possible. I maintain an exclusive caseload to prioritize your privacy and give you undivided attention and energy. I would love to help you move forward in your healing process and gain a sense of clarity, balance, and overall well-being.
